A day in the life of Shawnee….. at LAGOON!

IMG_2238.JPGHello lovelies!! It is so good to sit down and write another post for you.  It feels like its been forever!  So, first of all, happy November first!  Isn’t that crazy?!  I always get a crazy holiday bug the day after Halloween, I just can’t help it!  I’ve been watching Hallmark movies all day long just getting in that Christmas mood. 😉 (Yes, my husband thinks I’m nuts.)

BUT lets talk a little bit before Halloween!  Me and Lucas went to Frightmares at Lagoon (finally)and met his sis there and it was so fun!  He is so funny, the second we get to any amusement park or a fair he instantly wants to ride every single ride and play every single game.  He’s sooo good at those games that you throw a ball and make it in the milk jug or knock over the bottles or break the plate, you know, those types of games.  He wins a stuffed animal every single time, I do not know how he does it (I’m just grateful because I suck at them).

I love doing fun little dates on the weekends that are more than just a dinner date or a movie, you know?  I feel like we’re so young we need to get out and do things I guess!  Its kind of fun being young and married because we get to just take advantage of being in love and out in the world with out kids and really just enjoy each other.

I’m trying to make our own traditions to do every year and I for sure thing Frightmares in October will be one of them.  I grew up with lots of fun traditions that I want to bring to my family when I have one, but I also want to make my own new ones to enjoy!  What do you guys like to do for fun?  What are some traditions you love?  I can’t wait to make new ones and go on new vacations with my hot hot hubs!!

Anyways,

happy hump day,

happy November first,

and happy holidays

if you’re like me. 😉

Thanks for reading!! XO

Wife Life

A day in the life of Shawnee…. on lash day.

So as any normal night goes, I stayed up all night watching trending videos on Youtube and scrolling through Nordstrom and Urban Outfitters, just keeping an eye on things, ya know? 😉

Anyways, every 3 weeks I go to St. George and get my lashes done (shout out to my lash lady Harley Bowler at HB Lash Studio, you are a lash genius).  It’s almost like a scheduled pamper day for myself, obviously my favorite day. Once I get done with lashes, I head out to run some errands (aka shop).

Walking into Orange Peel, lashes 10/10, I get to the counter and I am telling you, it is always the same guy that takes my order and it is always this same guy that kindly says “you should try branching out you know, not always order the same old bubble tea.”  Excuse me, does this face look like it wants something new? So, naturally, I’m forced to put something different in it that he recommends and it’s just never as good as my usual.

Smoothie in hand, I’m on the hot pursuit to Target.  Walking in I see all of the Halloween goodies so of course I have to stop.  I walk through all the clothes and shoes and then onto the home stuff and then some cosmetics and groceries.  I head to check out and the very nice guy (the same guy as always, again) says “hi how are you?  Would you like to sign up for a Target card? Save 5% today and everyday, that’s hundreds of dollars a year.”  So once again, as I always do, I explain to him that “no sir I do not need another credit card and I don’t care if it works as a debit.  I can barely keep track of my cards now thanks”  So we laugh and move on.

All checked out and on my way to my car,  I get lost and have to set my alarm off to find the dang thing.  (I have always  been horrible in parking lots.)  So I get to my car and get unloading and the cart runs away from me so I have to go catch it (happens every time).  I get all unloaded and go to put the cart up, but I can’t find a cart parker place.  I debate whether to just leave it in a parking spot along with the other three sitting there, but I have a quick Come To Jesus talk with myself about bad karma and you bet I walked my happy butt all the way up to the store and parked that cart where it goes.

Heading home, I get to cedar and I do the yes-no of whether to go to Smith’s or not. “Do I really need that many groceries? Can I just hold off? Is this really necessary Shawnee?”  So I pass the first turn in and end up turning in the very last one and head into Smith’s.  I go in with one thing on my mind, Halo Top Ice cream.  Do you think I remembered to get it? No.  Everything except the ice cream, but I was not about to go back in.  So I go to Little Caesars, get some pizza and head home.

When I get home, my magic trunk in my car makes all of my bags appear on the counter and I don’t even have to lift a finger! (or my husband just grabs them, he’s perfect I know.) 😉  Too bad he can’t put them away just where I want them, now that would be awesome.  So now he’s putting together some fun things I bought and I’m putting away the rest, and then we’re headed to a birthday party ( I know, mid-week festivities are where it’s at) So happy hump day babes, thanks for keeping up with me!  Stay tuned for a drugstore make up haul coming soon! XO
